Brian Lara was born on May 2, 1969 in Santa Cruz, Trinidad and Tobago, Brian Charles Lara is a former West Indian International Cricket player. One of his elder sisters, Agnes Cynus got him enrolled in the local Harvard Coaching Clinic at the age of six for weekly Coaching Sessions. Lara had a very early education in correct batting technique.
Generally regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time, Lara made both his Test and ODI debut in 1990 against Pakistan.
Brian Lara retired from International Cricket in The World Cup 2007 played in West Indies.
The attractive left-hander owns two most prestigious records in cricket highest individual score with 400 not out in Tests and highest individual score with 501 not out in first class Cricket.
He broke the test world record of 365 against England in Antigua, 1994.
He became test Cricket’s leading run scorer of all time in November 2005, passing the 11,174 total of former Australian captain, Allan Border. Lara Scored 226 in that innings against the Australians.
Although Test Cricket was always his first choice, Lara still finished with 10,405 runs in One-Day Internationals.
Lara has played for the team in five Cricket World Cups in 1992 , 1996 , 1999 , 2003 and 2007.
